Zelenskyy extends tax breaks for volunteers and philanthropists

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed the law on amendments to the Tax Code No. 12266 and the Customs Code No. 12267, extending tax and customs benefits until 2025. This is stated in the card of the law No. 12267 and No. 12266, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
These laws provide for exemption from customs duties for components imported for the production of ammunition and shells.
They also extend the privileges for the import of UAVs, night vision devices, anti-drone guns, etc. (the list is in paragraphs 9-24 of the “Final Provisions” of the Customs Code).
The laws extend the benefits to include components for all drones – land and water, not just UAVs.
MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak noted that the transition to Euro 6 environmental standards for vehicles, which were supposed to be in effect from 2025, is postponed until 01.01.2027.
The changes include:
- Exemption from customs duties for components imported for the production of ammunition and shells.
- Extension of privileges for the import of UAVs, night vision devices, anti-drone guns, etc. (the list is provided in paragraphs 9-24 of the “Final Provisions” of the CCU).
- Extension of benefits to components for all drones – land, water, not just UAVs.
- Postponement of the transition to Euro 6 environmental standards for vehicles until January 1, 2027 (which should have been in effect from 2025).
- Support for philanthropists and volunteers: the ability of non-profit organizations to help the military and their families without losing their status; funds raised by volunteers are tax-free if transferred to charitable foundations; benefits for employees of non-profit organizations (up to 5% of income).
- Extension of VAT benefits for Ukrainian cinema for the period of martial law.
- Abolition of the assessment for the used car market.
- Full fiscalization of the gambling business.
