President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has submitted bills to the Verkhovna Rada to extend the period of general mobilization and martial law. The relevant documents under the numbers 14128 and 14129 have been registered and have already appeared on the website of the Verkhovna Rada, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The period of mobilization and martial law will be extended from November 5 for 90 days. That is, until the first days of February 2026.
As always, the decision to extend will be made by MPs by voting for each bill separately.

This is the 17th time Zelenskyy has asked to extend martial law and general mobilization since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
For the first time, martial law was introduced in Ukraine on the first day of the full-scale war – on the morning of February 24, 2022 for 30 days.
Last time, martial law and general mobilization were extended on July 25, 2025.
Draft laws on the extension of martial law and mobilization are regularly adopted before the expiration of the previous ones.
Martial law and mobilization in Ukraine
on February 24, 2022, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the introduction of martial law throughout Ukraine. The Verkhovna Rada voted in favor of martial law.
On the same day, due to Russian aggression and the introduction of martial law, restrictions on traveling abroad for men aged 18 to 60 began to apply in Ukraine.
Since then, martial law and mobilization in Ukraine have been repeatedly extended.
There is an option to lift martial law throughout the country or in certain parts of it before it expires. To do so, the president must issue a decree. The condition is that there is no threat to state security and territorial integrity.
