Zelenskyy talks about the scale of Russia’s night attack: 430 drones, 18 missiles and destruction in Kyiv

On the night of November 14, Russia launched one of the largest attacks on Ukraine in recent months. According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the occupiers fired about 430 attack drones and 18 missiles of various types, including ballistic and aerial ballistic missiles, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
In his address, the President said that at least four people were killed in the strikes, including children and a pregnant woman.
Large-scale destruction in Kyiv
The capital suffered the most from the attack. According to the president, dozens of high-rise buildings in Kyiv were damaged, and the debris from the downed missile fell on the territory of the Azerbaijani embassy, causing significant damage.
The main target of the attacks was Kyiv and Kyiv region, but attacks were also directed at Kharkiv and Odesa regions. In addition, according to preliminary data, in the morning, the Russians fired a Zircon missile at Sumy region.
Ukraine responds with long-range vehicles
The President said that Ukraine continues to retaliate and uses its long-range capabilities.
At the same time, he emphasized that such attacks cannot be fully repelled without a significant strengthening of air defense systems.
“There is a lot of work with partners to strengthen air defense, but it is not enough. Ukraine needs additional systems and interceptor missiles. Europe and the United States can help – we are counting on real solutions,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
President calls on the world to increase sanctions pressure on Russia
Zelenskyy specifically appealed to international partners to strengthen sanctions, particularly in the energy sector.
“Russia is still selling oil and using numerous schemes to circumvent restrictions. This must be stopped. Attacks on civilians must be met with a clear international response,” he said.
On the night of November 14, Russia attacked Kyiv with Kinzhal and Kalibr missiles, ballistic missiles, and a large number of Shahed drones.
At least three people were killed in the capital, and rescuers continue to clear the rubble, which may contain bodies.
