Zelensky declares readiness to meet with Putin

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed readiness to meet with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in any format.
The politician said this to South African President Cyril Ramaphosa during a telephone conversation, according to Zelenskyy’s Telegram channel, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
“I reaffirmed that I am ready for any format of meeting with the Russian leader… It is important that the Global South sends appropriate signals and pushes Russia to peace,” the president wrote.
on August 18, the White House hosted a meeting between US and Ukrainian Presidents Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Afterward, Trump received European leaders. The meeting took place a few days after Trump’s talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska. The White House chief discussed with Kyiv and Europe options for resolving the war in Ukraine, as well as the possibility of holding a trilateral US-Russia-Ukraine summit. Next, a meeting between Putin and Zelenskyy is expected to be organized with Trump’s mediation.
