Zelenskyy imposes sanctions against ships transporting stolen Ukrainian grain

26 November 2025 13:51

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree imposing National Security and Defense Council sanctions on 56 ships that illegally entered Ukrainian ports occupied by Russia in 2022-2025 and exported food products.

This is stated on the website of the President’s Office, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

We are talking about ships that loaded grain, sunflower and other cargo in the closed ports of Sevastopol and Feodosia and transported it abroad.

Many of these vessels are already under sanctions from the EU, the US, and Switzerland. At the same time, 17 of them were flying the flags of other countries. The OP noted that Ukraine intends to work with their governments to stop issuing licenses to such vessels.

Ukraine will continue to increase pressure on Russia in all possible directions and will closely synchronize its decisions with partners to force the aggressor state to end the war it has unleashed against our country and people, the OP promised.

As a reminder, on November 9, it became known that President Zelenskyy imposed sanctions on the former head of the Constitutional Court and a number of Russians.
