Residents of Myrnohrad, Donetsk region, have been warned that they have “only a few days” left to evacuate the city. This was stated by the acting head of the Myrnohrad MVA, Ihor Tretiak, on Radio Liberty, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

Tretiak said that pharmacies and shops are being closed in the city, and a decision has been made to evacuate businesses and institutions. Myrnohrad also has an extended curfew from 15:00 to 11:00.

“The situation is very tense, and the trend is deteriorating… While Pokrovsk still has two weeks, according to estimates, Myrnograd no longer has these weeks. Myrnohrad has only a few days left, maybe a day or two or three. Because we have been experiencing artillery shelling for three days now,” said Tretiak.

He urged all residents of the areas adjacent to the frontline not to delay evacuation. This is especially true for families with children and relatives with limited mobility.

It should be noted that at the end of last week, Tretiak reported that about 20,000 people remained in Myrnohrad, including about a thousand children. According to him, many residents are evacuating themselves, but there are those who refuse to leave.

Back on 15 August, Pokrovsk authorities called on residents to evacuate as the enemy was rapidly advancing towards the town.

Due to constant shelling, the curfew in the towns of Myrnohrad and Selidove in Donetsk Oblast has been extended. Starting from 19 August, it will last 20 hours, from 15:00 to 11:00.

We would like to add that the Pokrovske direction remains one of the hottest areas of the frontline. The highest number of combat engagements has been recorded there over the past month.
