The Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence supported the version of the draft law on the register of servicemen after taking into account the president’s proposals and recommended it for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada. This was reported by Deputy Defense Minister Kateryna Chernogorenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

“The National Security Committee supported the version of the draft law on the register of servicemen after taking into account the proposals of the President of Ukraine and recommended it for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada,” Chernogorenko wrote.

According to her, this register will allow

  • obtain accurate and up-to-date data on personnel
  • generate analytics from the reserve in real time
  • reduce the influence of the human factor on processes.

Chernogorenko emphasized that the registry will operate in Ukraine under the full and round-the-clock control of the Cyber Incident Response Center.

“This is not just a technical solution – we are creating an ecosystem of services for the military that will allow us to quickly meet the needs without queues, certificates and paperwork through interaction through the unique military identifier MIL-ID,” the Deputy Minister said.

Chernogorenko thanked the National Security Committee for its “trust and professional support.”

It should be noted that in December last year, the Verkhovna Rada generally approved the creation of the Unified State Register of Servicemen (draft law No. 12066). It was reported that it would be integrated with the electronic healthcare system to facilitate the exchange of data on conscripts and reservists. The military will be able to access special discounts, loyalty programs, and new services, including through the Army platform. The information in the register will be stored for 70 years.
