The last two residents were evacuated from Makiivka, Donetsk Oblast. Now there are no locals left in the village. This was reported by the head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration Artem Lysogor, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“Until recently, there were three local residents left in Makiivka. One man was helped to leave last Sunday. We managed to evacuate the last two. They are a 70-year-old woman and a 67-year-old man. They are already in Kharkiv region with their relatives,”
– said Lysogor.
He added that the settlement has already been destroyed by the Russians by 99 per cent.
“These people managed to save their lives, but they stayed in Makiivka to the last – in a settlement that has already been destroyed by 99% by the Russians. Today, there is not a single resident left there. The fighting is going on right next door. That is why we insist on evacuating other villages every day as long as it is relatively safe,” said the head of the Luhansk CMA.
As an example, Lysohor cited the frontline village of Nevske, which Russia attacked with cannon and rocket artillery and used about 60 drones. As a result, two houses and outbuildings near another were completely burnt down.
Russians also attacked near Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, Nevske and in the Serebryansky forest.
