Ukrainian Armed Forces attack power plant in Moscow region with drones

Drones attacked the Shaturskaya power plant in the Moscow region. Preliminarily, the power output unit of the state-owned regional power plant is on fire, [Komersant ] writes, citing Russian propaganda media.
On the night of November 23, drones were shot down over the Moscow region, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said. The Russian Defense Ministry reported 75 allegedly shot down drones over Russia, the Black Sea and occupied Crimea, including two in Moscow region.
Residents of the city of Shatura reported explosions and an attack on the local power plant. Astra’s analysis confirms that the attack set the Shatura SDPP on fire. It is likely that the power plant’s power output unit is on fire. A power output unit is an infrastructure complex through which a power plant transmits the generated electricity to the unified power grid.
The Shaturskaya Leninskaya GRES is a 1500 MW thermal power plant and one of the oldest in Russia, having been built in 1920 as part of the plan of the State Commission for Electrification of the Russian Federation. The plant supplies electricity and heat to a part of the Moscow region.
