Ukrainian Armed Forces deny Russia’s claims of advance in Chasovyi Yar

The Russian Defense Ministry’s statements about “successes” in Chasovyi Yar are fake. The front line in the town has hardly changed for months.
This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the statement of Viktor Tregubov, spokesman for the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops, during a telethon.
“Yes, part of the city is controlled by the Russians, but they have been doing this for a long time. Ukrainian forces also control part of the city, and there are constant battles in the city,” he said.
Tregubov emphasized that the demarcation line in Chasovyi Yar has remained almost unchanged for months.
“But it is impossible to say that this statement by the Defense Ministry or (Russian dictator Vladimir – ed.) Putin was based on anything. If it was based on at least a local successful attack, we could analyze what they presented – but they are just lying out of the blue,” the Armed Forces major emphasized.
As a reminder, yesterday, on August 1, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said that Russian troops had allegedly captured Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region.
Moreover, he added that the Ukrainian authorities are allegedly “not informed about the events at the front.”
