Ukrainian Armed Forces drive enemy from foothold in Kharkiv region

Ukrainian defenders have cleared the outskirts of Novomlynsk in Kharkiv region of Russian troops, thus driving the occupiers out of the bridgehead on the right bank of the Oskil River. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
“In the Kharkiv region, near the village of Novomlynsk, Kupyansk district, the enemy tried to seize and hold a bridgehead on the right bank of the Oskil River. Having a superiority in forces, the enemy even crossed the water barrier,” the statement said.
However, the Defense Forces, with the support of artillery and UAV units, drove the enemy from the bridgehead.
In particular, the soldiers of the 8th separate assault battalion of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade “Edelweiss” cleared the area in the vicinity of Novomlynsk from enemy forces.
“As a result of the successful operation, the enemy was destroyed. The right bank of Oskol is under the control of the Defense Forces. Ukrainian flags are flying over Novomlynsk,” the General Staff added.
