The Ukrainian military has downed a Russian Su-34 aircraft in the Zaporizhzhia sector. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
At 04:00 on September 25, 2025, Ukrainian defenders shot down a Russian Su-34 aircraft in the Zaporizhzhia direction.
According to the military, the plane was carrying out terrorist attacks on the city of Zaporizhzhia using guided bombs.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces clarified that the enemy Su-34 was destroyed during a combat mission.

What is known about the Su-34
The Su-34 is a Russian frontline supersonic fighter-bomber developed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau on the basis of the Su-27 fighter. Its main purpose is to strike ground and sea targets at any time of day or night and in all weather conditions. The aircraft is capable of carrying a wide range of airborne weapons, including guided bombs and air-to-ground missiles.
