Representatives of the White House are already working on organizing a trilateral meeting between US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin. According to the report, the trilateral talks may take place next week, although the final location has not yet been determined.
White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt confirmed that President Trump is ready to talk to the leaders of both countries.
“As President Trump said yesterday, the Russians have expressed a desire to meet with President Trump, and the president is open to that meeting. President Trump would like to meet with both President Putin and President Zelensky,” said White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt.
She added that Trump’s main desire is for “this brutal war to end.” Therefore, the White House is working out the details of potential meetings, and they will be announced at the appropriate time.
The day before, Special Representative of the US President Steve Whitkoff met in Moscow. He visited Moscow to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. US leader Donald Trump called the meeting productive and said that progress had been made. According to media reports, his meeting with Putin may take place as early as next week, followed by trilateral talks with President Zelenskyy.
Meanwhile, Putin’s aide Yuri Ushakov said that Russia and the United States had agreed to hold a meeting between Trump and Putin in the coming days. According to him, the location has already been allegedly determined. The Russian president himself said that the talks could take place in the UAE.
