Zielenski and Kellogg’s meeting: main results and statements

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held a meeting with US Special Representative of the President Keith Kellogg in Kiev. The parties discussed several important topics, in particular the purchase of Patriot for Ukraine. This was reported by the head of state in Telegram, informs "Komersant Ukrainian"
The parties raised the issue of separate projects under the PURL initiative (purchase of American weapons at the expense of the countries of Europe) to finance and purchase Patriot air defense systems, as well as strong bilateral agreements on joint production of drones and weapons. The President expressed hope for a positive U.S. response to such initiatives.
There was a separate discussion of pressure on the Russians and steps that can be taken in tariff and sanctions policy to hold a leaders’ meeting as soon as possible and end the war. The trilateral format is the most effective.
Zelensky added that he discussed with Kellogg the return of Ukrainian children kidnapped by Russia, international cooperation on this track and the conditions in which the children are being held.
The Ukrainian head of state expressed condolences to the American people over the murder of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk and thanked US President Donald Trump for his sympathy and reaction to the murder in the United States of Ukrainian Irina Zarutska, which took place in North Carolina.
“It is important that justice prevails every time violence tries to take over,” the President emphasized.
Zelensky said that another topic was the planned events during the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, coordination between Ukraine and the United States and work within the “coalition of the resolute.”
