The Ministry of Development has launched a planned renewal of management teams and management systems at key state-owned enterprises in the maritime and inland waterway transport sector. The first steps were the dismissal of the management of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company (UDP) and the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA).
This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Development.
“The resignation of the head of UDP has already been supported by the newly formed supervisory board. At the same time, the Ministry is opening a transparent competition for this position. This will allow us to attract professional managers capable of ensuring effective and transparent operation of the company, development of the strategically important Danube logistics route and strengthening the logistics sustainability of the Danube cluster and the economic security of the state,” the statement said.
In parallel, the Ministry is initiating the creation of a supervisory board at USPA. Its formation will ensure transparency of corporate governance, strategic control and compliance of the company’s activities with international standards and challenges.
“In the future, such measures will be implemented in the field of rail and road transportation and aviation. The principles of transparent governance are the key to building the capacity and economic security of the state in wartime,” the Ministry of Development promised.
The Ministry continues to work systematically to modernize the management system of state-owned enterprises in Ukraine’s port, air, rail and transport infrastructure.
