The mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ruslan Martsinkiv, has promised a monetary reward for a video with a song or poem about Stepan Bandera. The mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk announced this on his social media, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

Martsinkiv announced the contest on January 1, the birthday of the OUN leader.

Three winners, as noted by Ruslan Martsinkiv, will receive a prize of 10 thousand UAH from him

“Sing a song or recite a poem about Stepan Bandera. Send the video in the comments to this post. The authors of the three best videos will receive a prize from me – 10 thousand hryvnias each,” said the mayor of Frankivsk.

Ruslan Martsinkiv said that the competition will last until January 29, and on February 3, the winner will be announced on the Day of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists.

It should be noted that the message does not say where the funds for the competition will come from and who will choose the winner.

Earlier on Tuesday, Martsinkiv honored Bandera’s memory on the 116th anniversary of his birth. The mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk attended the event at the Bandera monument on European Square.
