10 killed and 37 wounded: video from the site of the attack on Ternopil

On the night of November 19, Russian troops launched a combined attack on Ternopil. The enemy hit a high-rise building, where a rescue operation is underway. This was reported by Ternopil Mayor Serhiy Nadal on Telegram and posted a video from the scene, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
Residential buildings and other structures were damaged in the city, and a dangerous excess of chlorine was recorded in the air. According to the regional military administration, the concentration of this substance was six times higher than normal. Residents were urged to stay indoors and close the windows tightly.
Drones and missiles: how the attack took place
Russia used both drones and missiles for the attack, said Ternopil Mayor Serhiy Nadal.
Several buildings were damaged in the city. A rescue operation is currently underway.
“Services are working at the sites of the hits. The damaged houses are located on several streets. The rescue operation is underway. The victims are being provided with medical aid,” Nadal said.
Casualties and consequences
As of 10:21 a.m., Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported 10 dead and 37 injured, including 12 children.
“Rescuers continue to evacuate people from blocked apartments. There are victims under the rubble. We are working with utmost care – every minute can mean a saved life,” he said.
Numerous photos and videos of destroyed high-rise buildings and damaged yards are being shared on social media.
Energy sector was targeted
The nighttime attack lasted until almost 8 a.m. and affected several regions, including the western regions. In Kharkiv, there were wounded as a result of enemy drone strikes.
The Ministry of Energy reportedthatthe main target of the Russian strike was again the energy infrastructure. In a number of regions, emergency power outages were introduced to stabilize the system.
