16-year-old Ukrainian Oleksandr Bondarev has won a historic victory in Formula 4

For the first time in history, Ukrainian racing driver Oleksandr Bondarev has won a race under the auspices of the FIA, winning the final race of the 5th round of the Italian F4 Championship at the famous Imola circuit.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, this is not only the 16-year-old pilot’s debut victory in Formula 4, but also the first for Ukraine in the FIA racing series standings, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

Bondarev drives for the prestigious Prema Racing team, which is one of the leaders in European youth formula series.

The day before, British driver Lando Norris of the McLaren team won the Hungarian Grand Prix, a Formula 1 event.
