Antimonopoly Committee fines two distilleries

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has imposed fines on two state-owned distilleries, Bdzhilnyansky Distillery and Yurkovetsky Distillery, for violating legislation on the protection of economic competition. This was reported by the press service of the AMCU, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

The Bdzhilnyansky distillery was fined UAH 22,000. The reason for the fine was the failure to submit information at the request of the AMCU chairman within the established time limit. The plant’s actions were classified under Article 50(13) of the Law of Ukraine “On Protection of Economic Competition”.

Yurkovets Distillery was fined a total of UAH 66,000 for committing three violations. In particular, the plant twice failed to provide information at the request of the AMCU Chairman, which is a violation of Article 50(13) of the Law of Ukraine “On Protection of Economic Competition”.

In addition, the AMCU found that SE Yurkovetsky Distillery provided incomplete information at the request of the AMCU Chairman within the established time limit. This violation is qualified under paragraph 14 of Article 50 of the Law of Ukraine “On Protection of Economic Competition”.
