BES was looking for money, and the police are looking for porn: new searches of OnlyFans models

Investigators of the National Police of Ukraine are conducting searches at the registered Ukrainian models of OnlyFans, accusing them of distributing pornography. One of the models whose home was searched told Ekonomichna Pravda about this, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
Search in Kharkiv: details of the case
According to the girl, who introduced herself as “citizen S.”, on March 11, National Police investigators came to her house in Kharkiv with a court order. The ruling states that the case is being investigated under Part 3 of Article 301 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – import, manufacture, sale and distribution of pornographic items with significant income.
“They took my husband’s laptop, flash drives and $200,000 that were in the house. I was planning to exchange these funds for hryvnia today to pay the tax for 2023. I had arranged the money exchange with the bank in advance. It seems like they were listening to the conversations because they knew when to come to get the money at home.”

The model claims that when she asked not to seize the money intended for paying taxes, the investigators allegedly offered an alternative – to pay half the amount, i.e. $100,000, as a bribe.
Suspicions of using hired labor
The court ruling states that the girl is suspected of
“offers work to women, which consists of correspondence and the creation of pornographic content with the subsequent distribution of the above content in Kharkiv via the Internet.”
At the same time, “citizen S.” herself denies that she involves other people in the work on the platform, including correspondence.
The scope of the investigation: a list of models and control purchases
During the search, the investigator allegedly showed “citizen S.” a list of people against whom law enforcement officers were already collecting evidence.
“He was flipping through this list and it just didn’t end,” she said,
– she said.
According to the girl, law enforcement officers said that they already had enough evidence against most of the Kharkiv OnlyFans models because they had allegedly made “control purchases” of content.
Law enforcement pressure on Ukrainian OnlyFans models
According to “citizen S.”, the police probably received information about the income of Ukrainian OnlyFans creators through the tax service.
In the fall of 2024, the Ukrainian tax authorities joined the international tax data exchange system and gained access to information about the accounts of Ukrainian residents in more than 100 countries.
At the same time, representatives of the Ukrainian authorities started talking about the need for Ukrainian OnlyFans models to register as such with the Ukrainian tax authorities and, accordingly, pay taxes in Ukraine. In view of this, 350 Ukrainian models of the OnlyFans platform declared their income for the past year, said Danylo Hetmantsev, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy. The total amount of declared income amounted to UAH 305.4 million.
After that, investigators from the Bureau of Economic Security came to the homes of the models who had registered and paid taxes.
