18 November 2025 05:31

A drone attack on the evening of Monday, November 17, damaged a railway station building and trains, but there were no casualties. This was reported by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia.

“The passengers and crews of these trains, as well as the 6044 Pyatikhatky-Dnipro commuter train, were sheltered in the station throughout the attack and were not injured,” the statement said.

In addition, the region is partially de-energized, so the railroad used backup diesel locomotives and traffic has been fully restored.

What was damaged

  • the blast wave smashed windows in the railroad cars;
  • some windows and elements of the station building were damaged;
  • the region was temporarily left without electricity, which affected the railroad’s operations.

Due to the power outage, the railroad promptly deployed backup diesel locomotives, which allowed trains to resume running quickly.

Trains were delayed for more than two hours

Two passenger trains set off with a delay of about 2.5 hours:

  • no. 31 Zaporizhzhia – Przemysl
  • no. 119 Dnipro – Kholm

Ukrzaliznytsia emphasized that all delays are under control and the schedule will be restored as the situation stabilizes.
