Rains and gusty winds: weather forecast for September 25

A significant cold snap is expected today, September 25. Frosts are possible in some places. This was reported by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

The atmospheric front will move to the southern tip of Ukraine. It will bring light rains and gusty winds through the center and east, and on September 26, the entire territory of Ukraine will be subject to dry, sunny, but cold weather.

“On September 25, rains are likely in the southwest, center, east and south of Ukraine. The northern regions, a large part of the west and the central part in the afternoon will be dry. The air temperature will start to level off on Thursday,” Didenko said.

According to the weather forecaster, warm, even hot weather in eastern and southern Ukraine will be replaced by a sharp cooling. on September 25, the temperature in Ukraine is expected to reach 12…16 degrees during the day, and 15…19 degrees in the southern part.

Ground frosts are likely to occur in the west and north overnight, and frosts will spread to the center and east during the night hours of September 26-27.

Dry, sunny, but cold weather is expected in Kyiv on September 25.

At night, the temperature in the capital is expected to be 3…6 degrees, and frosts are likely on the outskirts of the city. Tomorrow afternoon, you won’t be able to wear shorts, it will be 12…15 degrees.

According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, on September 25, the rains will spread to the eastern regions of the country.

The temperature will drop to 11…17°C during the day in most regions, and 2 to 7°C is expected at night on September 25-26.

Forecasters warn of cool nights with a risk of frost in the northern regions, as well as localized rains in the east and southwest of the country.

Precipitation and cloudiness

In the southwestern regions and in the east, light rains are expected in some places.
In the rest of the country, the weather will remain dry and partly cloudy.

Wind

Mostly northeast, 5-10 m/s.
In the southeastern regions, gusts of up to 15-20 m/s are possible at night.

Air temperature

North and most of the western regions: at night 1… 6°, in Transcarpathia up to 10°. Frosts of 0…-3° are possible on the soil surface in the northern regions. During the day, the temperature will be 11…16°.
Central, southern and eastern regions: at night 6… 11°, on the coast up to 13°. During the day – 14… 19°.

Forecasters warned that a significant cold snap would come to Ukraine on September 25. Therefore, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center declared the first level of danger: in some regions, the air temperature will drop to zero, and on the soil surface – to -3.

Frosts and autumn weather changes

Meteorologists warn that nighttime cooling may cause the first autumn frosts on the soil, especially in the northern and western regions. This could affect the harvest of late vegetables and horticultural crops.

At the end of the week, after the front passes, a high pressure field will be established in Ukraine. Rains will stop, but cool weather will remain.
