Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025: Ukrainian delegation leaves for Tbilisi

The Ukrainian delegation left Kyiv for Tbilisi by Eurovision Express train. On December 7, Sofia Nersesyan will take part in the first rehearsal of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
“I am looking forward to the first rehearsal, we have been preparing for Junior Eurovision for a long time. I also met many of the participants online. Now we will meet, sing and dance,” commented Sofia Nersesyan.
What is known about the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 will take place on December 13 at 17:00 CET in the Olympic Palace in Tbilisi. The country won the right to host the contest after Andrii Putkaradze won with the song To My Mom, which became the record fourth victory for Georgia.
The contest will be broadcast on the air and on the Suspilne Kultura website, as well as on junior.eurovision.ua.
Ukraine will be represented at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest by Sofia Nersesyan with her song Motanka.
The song was written by Svitlana Tarabarova. The composition is dedicated to a Ukrainian amulet that mothers give to their children. Now this image has gained even more power, because there is a legend that when danger approaches a child, the threads of the motanka glow. “Motanka” is a song about the power of a mother’s love.
