Over the past four years, Europe has reduced its imports of Russian gas by 10 times: from 150 billion cubic meters to less than 15 billion cubic meters per year. This was stated by Artem Petrenko, Executive Director of the Association of Gas Producers of Ukraine, in an interview with the YouTube channel "Komersant Ukrainian".
Before the full-scale invasion, the Russian Federation supplied Europe with about 150 billion cubic meters of gas per year, but now there are less than 15 billion left. As of today, the volume of Russian gas in the European segment is less than 10%,” Petrenko said.
He added that Europe is actively building LNG terminals and importing gas from the United States, Qatar and other reliable suppliers, reducing its dependence on Russia.
