The free educational chatbot “Financial Restart” from PUMB, created as part of the “Live with Purpose” platform, continues to expand its educational program. An eighth week—“Planning Your Family’s Financial Future”—has been added to the existing seven.
The new course will help veterans and their families learn how to set long-term financial goals, save for education, housing, and retirement, and understand the ins and outs of insurance.
What is the new week about?
The eighth week of the “Financial Restart” program is dedicated to strategic planning for families. Participants will learn:
- How to set long-term financial goals effectively.
- Which tools are best suited for saving for major purchases, children’s education, or retirement.
- The basics of insurance: how to choose a reliable company, what to look for in a contract, and what guarantees the client has.
- How to create a personalized annual financial plan.
This week’s speaker was Anna Samoilenko —a certified financial advisor with over 25 years of business management experience and 5 years of practice in financial consulting, specializing in retirement savings programs.
“Financial Restart”: Is Learning via Smartphone Effective?
The “Financial Restart” chatbot is a free educational program designed for veterans and their family members, available to all Ukrainians aged 18 and older. Over the course of eight weeks, participants will master practical skills that will enable them to:

- Protect their finances and data from fraudulent schemes;

- Start their own business, learn how to write grant proposals, and submit projects for grants;
- Understand the basics of investing with small amounts;
- And now—plan your family’s long-term financial future wisely.
The course takes place in a familiar messaging app—no complicated platforms or additional registrations required. Users set their own pace: they can go through the lessons on their commute, at home, or in between tasks. The daily learning format combines short videos, text explanations, practical exercises, and quizzes, allowing participants to absorb the material without feeling overwhelmed or stressed—which is especially important during the adjustment period after returning from the front lines and amid the country’s ongoing instability.
Your learning progress is saved: after each week, you can return to the course where you left off or review the material to reinforce your knowledge. This flexibility makes the program convenient for people with busy schedules and heavy workloads.
