The Polish clothing and home goods chain Pepco is considering entering the Ukrainian market. The discount retailer’s first stores could open in 2026. This was reported bythe press service of the Retailers Association of Ukraine (RAU), according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
“Despite the full-scale invasion, international companies view the Ukrainian market as promising for development. This year, the retail landscape may gain another strong player—the fast-growing European discount retailer of various goods, Pepco, which has over 4,000 stores in 18 countries.”
It is noted that the official and exclusive representative of Pepco in Ukraine—the consulting firm Retail&Development Advisor (RDA)—is currently searching for the best locations for the international retailer. Negotiations are already underway between Pepco’s technical department and contractors regarding fit-out work at specific locations. The plan is to open 5–10 locations by the end of 2026.
