French President Emmanuel Macron has instructed the country’s new Prime Minister Sébastien Le Coronne to form a Cabinet by the evening of October 5, BFMTV reports, citing a source close to the head of state, "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to the TV channel, the politician ordered to form a cohesive team of 25-26 ministers and state secretaries. Its members should have roots in the regions and be ready for a dialogue with the country’s left-wing forces.
“Although the government is due to be formed on Sunday evening, its composition could be announced no later than Monday morning, after the last adjustments are made,” BFMTV notes.
on September 8, the government of French Prime Minister Francois Bayrou resigned after MPs expressed no confidence in him. Then protests began in the country. The reason for the citizens’ dissatisfaction was the draft law on the country’s budget for 2026.
The authorities intended to save €43.8 billion on several items instead of the €40 billion previously planned. According to the government’s plan, pensions and social benefits will not be indexed, and the budget of any agency except the Ministry of Defense will not increase.
