Three employees of the Slavyanskaya Thermal Power Plant were killed as a result of a Russian drone attack on their vehicle on the morning of February 17.
This was announced by First Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Artem Nekrasov at a briefing on the operational situation in the power system as of February 17, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".
“In the morning, a Russian UAV attacked a car carrying employees of the Slovyansk Thermal Power Plant. Unfortunately, three of them were killed. This is yet another reminder of how high the price of light and heat in our homes is,” Nekrasov said.
The State Emergency Service specified that the enemy attack took place in the town of Mykolaivka in the Kramatorsk district.
“As a result of the shelling, three people were killed and one person was injured. At the scene, emergency responders provided assistance to the victim and handed him over to emergency medical personnel. In addition, rescuers extinguished the car fire,” the State Emergency Service said in a statement.
Rescuers also reminded that Russians continue to mercilessly shell civilians in frontline communities and urged local residents to evacuate to safer regions.
We will remind you that recently, a DTEK repair crew came under Russian fire in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Two drones hit a service vehicle, which burned to the ground, but there were no casualties.
