Unknown tried to infect french internal affairs minister with plague

Unknown persons sent a letter with the plague virus to the French Ministry of the Interior addressed to the head of the department, Gérald Darmanen. This was reported by the French newspaper LeFigaro, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
It is stated that a letter addressed to Darmanen was found in the mail at a sorting centre in the Côte d’Or department: a fine black powder was found in the parcel.
Experts tested the powder at the Nuclear, Radiological, Biological, Chemical and Explosives Police Unit and found the presence of the plague virus.
The letter also contained racial slurs.
The contents of the letter were sent for another examination, and the final results are expected in the evening of 29 July. The Dijon prosecutor’s office has launched an investigation into the matter.
The newspaper stressed that the plague is a very serious disease that is still raging in some countries in Africa, Asia and America. In France, the last cases of the disease were recorded in 1945 in Corsica.
At the moment, the author of the suspicious letter has not been identified.
