6 March 18:20
In 2025, Ukrzaliznytsia significantly increased its income from renting premises at railway stations, while expanding commercial space for business. This was reported by the company’s press service, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to the company, the area of leased premises increased by 1,783 square meters over the year. This allowed the carrier to receive about UAH 4 million in additional revenue each month.
Growth in rates and demand
Competition for space has been an important factor in revenue growth. Thanks to auctions in the Prozorro.Prozori system, the average rental rate at stations in 2025 increased by 44% and reached UAH 1,651 per square meter.
This indicates increased business interest in station locations, which are gradually transforming not only into transport hubs but also into commercial spaces with shops, restaurants, and services for passengers.
