On Wednesday, June 17, warm and pleasant weather is expected in Ukraine, without any oppressive heat. Air temperatures in most regions will be moderate, though there will be brief showers in some areas. This was reported by meteorologist Natalka Didenko, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
What will the temperature be like on June 17?
According to the meteorologist’s forecast, Ukraine will see a “wonderful range of air temperatures” on Wednesday. Throughout the day, most regions are expected to see temperatures of 20–24 degrees.
It will be warmer in the south, southeast, and in the Dnipropetrovsk region—where temperatures will reach 23–26 degrees.
These temperatures will be comfortable for mid-June: no intense heat, but with a noticeable summer warmth.
Where Will It Rain?
Rain is not forecast for all of Ukraine on June 17. According to Natalka Didenko, precipitation will occur mainly:
- in the western regions, except for Rivne and Volyn;
- in central Ukraine.
No significant precipitation is expected in the rest of the country, although brief showers are possible in some areas.
Weather in Kyiv on June 17
On Wednesday, Kyiv will see mostly dry weather. During the day, the temperature in the capital will rise to 20–22 degrees.
For Kyiv residents, this will be one of the most comfortable days of the week: no heat, no heavy rain, and mild summer warmth.

Why the Weather Was Cool
In recent days, Ukraine has been under the influence of a cool air mass brought by Cyclone Sabina. As a result, many regions experienced heavy rains, thunderstorms, and temperatures below the seasonal norm.
However, forecasters predict a gradual improvement in the situation. Rainfall will decrease, and temperatures will begin to rise slowly.
When Will It Get Warmer?
According to forecasters, starting June 18, the weather will begin to improve thanks to the influence of a high-pressure system from the west. Precipitation will decrease, and temperatures will rise to a comfortable 22–27 degrees.
Moderately warm weather without extreme heat is expected in Ukraine by the end of the week.
What Ukrainians Should Keep in Mind
Despite generally comfortable temperatures, residents of the western and central regions should bring umbrellas or raincoats. Rain showers may be brief, but in some areas, they could be quite heavy.
Drivers should be cautious on wet roads, especially during localized showers.
