NABU and SAP become a “stick” for parliament to make the necessary decisions, says Oleksiy Kucherenko

Oleksiy Kucherenko, a three-term member of the Ukrainian parliament and representative of the Batkivshchyna faction, said that the NABU and SAPO are acting as key instruments in preparing parliament to adopt decisions that are beneficial to certain parties, and he called the prosecution of Tymoshenko “an exclusively political order.” The politician made this statement on the MayiakUA YouTube channel, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

On the Tymoshenko case

“For me, this is 95% a political order. The way they behave, the way this prosecutor behaves, the way the judge behaves, the blunders, the childish mistakes, the inconsistencies. The extent to which the procedure was violated when they conducted searches. That is, they were in a great hurry. Then the question is: if you are already preparing for the arrest, then prove something there, you know, work. And they were in a great hurry. Why? Probably some kind of order,” the politician believes.

On the role of NABU and SAP

In his opinion, the agencies that should be independent have in fact “turned into agencies of foreign countries.” So now they are implementing an external scenario for Ukraine.

“NABU and SAP should become a key instrument for preparing the parliament to make certain necessary decisions using the carrot and stick method, the whip method, and so on,” Kucherenko is convinced.

About “Midas”

In addition, Kucherenko links a number of high-profile criminal anti-corruption investigations to the redistribution of power. In particular, he refers to the “Midas” case.

“At the same time, very serious processes began to take place to seize financial flows in the energy sector. It is no coincidence that there is this ‘Mindsgate’ scandal. It is being used so that other guys and girls, investors such as Dragon Capital and other media figures, can help this political force seize control of the country’s energy sector,” the politician emphasizes.

He believes that this will lead not only to liberal reforms, but also to the establishment of market prices for electricity and gas, and their increase.

“Who will pay for this? Definitely the Ukrainian people. Everything will be calculated and presented in the bills. Under the slogans of distributed generation, market liberalization, and market transformations, all of this will be presented to Ukrainians in their bills. The only one who is resisting this is Tymoshenko. Well, now it’s come back to haunt her,” Kucherenko concludes.

Recall that, according to Kucherenko, 9 billion was wasted on the construction of energy facility protection. Among those responsible for this “wrong decision,” the politician named the former head of the Agency for Reconstruction, Mustafa Nayem.
