A new production facility for freezing berries has been opened on the premises of West Berry (Drohobych, Lviv region, Ukraine), one of Ukraine’s leading exporters of frozen berries, according to "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to EastFruit.

Since 2016, the company has grown from a local producer to one of the industry leaders, supplying internationally certified products to most European countries.

According to a statement by the Drohobych City Council, the company is currently rebuilding a processing complex with an area of about 10,000 square meters, gradually putting new production areas into operation. The site also features office space, a spacious canteen for employees, and a modern shelter that meets all safety requirements. The construction of the facility was completed in a short period of time: while construction work was still ongoing on the site in August, the complex is now fully built and equipped with the necessary equipment.

According to the company’s CEO, Volodymyr Sambirskyi, modern berry sorting and processing lines will be launched, and blast freezing tunnels are being prepared for operation.

“Today we are opening a new workshop, launching modern equipment, and creating additional jobs. Our goal is to ensure a full production cycle: from growing and harvesting berries to freezing and selling finished products on European markets,” said Vladimir Sambirsky.

The company plans to continue investing in production development, introducing modern technologies, and expanding cooperation with partners.
