Actress Diane Keaton has died

American theater and film actress Diane Keaton has died at the age of 80, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports citing The Variety.

Diane Keaton was an American actress, film producer and director, feminist. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress (1977). Outside of the United States, she is known mainly for Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather trilogy (1972, 1974, 1990) and Woody Allen’s films.

According to the publication, Diane Keaton’s life ended in California.

The actress was born in Los Angeles in 1946 under the name Diane Hall. She was the eldest of four children of a civil engineer and a housewife. She performed in theater in high school and then entered the theater department in college. Soon she dropped out and moved to New York, where she took a pseudonym because the name Diane Hall was already taken. The artist participated in several Broadway shows, and in 1970 she made her film debut.
