Over 2.5 million Ukrainians have already applied for UAH 1,000 as part of the “Winter Support”

There are already more than 2.5 million applications in “Diya” from Ukrainians for winter support. Of these, more than 300 thousand are applications for children of Ukrainians for UAH 1,000 within the framework of “Winter Support”, which started on Saturday, November 15.
This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, and this was also reported by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
“There are already more than 2.5 million applications in “Diya” from Ukrainians for winter support. Of these, more than 300 thousand are applications for children. The pace and volume of applications clearly indicate the timeliness and necessity of such a support program. Starting from Tuesday, the possibility of submitting applications also through Ukrposhta will be fully operational. The Government of Ukraine will ensure full financing of the program,” the president noted in Telegram.
“In the first hours, 633,047 people, including children, took advantage of the opportunity to receive assistance from the state,” Svyridenko specified in Telegram.
As Svyridenko noted, from November 15, you can submit an application through the “Diya” application, while through “Ukrposhta” they will be available from November 18.
Moreover, due to the launch of the program, the service crashed: users massively reported errors in the “Diya” application.
“Now millions of Ukrainians are submitting applications at the same time – and this is great. But due to the heavy load, the registers may work unstable. Some users receive an error when logging in,” the message in Telegram says.
“If this happened to you – please try a little later. The service will work until December 24, so everyone will definitely have time to apply,” the users were advised.
What is known about “Winter support”
As a reminder, the presidential program “Winter Support” has been officially launched in Ukraine. As part of the initiative, Ukrainians can receive a one-time financial assistance of UAH 1000.
The day before, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed the government to prepare a comprehensive winter support program for the population, similar to the one that was in place in 2024.
The funds can be spent on utilities, medicines, Ukrainian-made products, postal services, books, charity and donations to the Defense Forces.
The purpose of the winter support is to reach as many people as possible with government support ahead of winter, to help pay utility bills and cover basic needs.
