The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has abandoned the idea of raising prosecutors’ salaries in 2025, reports "Komersant Ukrainian"

To do this, the parliament had to adopt amendment No. 155 to the draft law on the State Budget for 2025.

“The Verkhovna Rada supported Volodymyr Tsabal’s amendment to leave the subsistence level for calculating prosecutors’ salaries in 2025 at UAH 1600 with 242 votes in favor,”

rokslona Pidlasa, the head of the Verkhovna Rada Budget Committee, wrote on social media. This means that prosecutors’ salaries will not increase.

The Rada also proposes to take away prosecutors’ super disability pensions.

Prosecutors fell out of favor with MPs after high-profile disability scandals. on October 16, Yuriy Butusov, editor-in-chief of Censor.NET reported that 51 prosecutors in the Khmelnytsky region had received disability certificates using the “services” of Tetiana Krupa, the chief doctor of the Khmelnytsky Medical and Social Expertise, who is suspected of corruption. After that, it became known that there were hundreds of such prosecutors with disabilities in each region.

Later, the Rada dismissed Prosecutor General Kostin.
