Rada to consider extension of mobilization and martial law tomorrow

Tomorrow, the Verkhovna Rada will consider bills to extend mobilization and martial law. This will be the 15th vote on martial law and mobilization. This was reported by MP from the European Solidarity faction Oleksiy Honcharenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

“Tomorrow the Rada is going to consider a bill on the extension of martial law and mobilization,” he wrote.

Thus, according to the official website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law on approval of the Presidential Decree “On Extension of the Martial Law in Ukraine” (registration number 13172 of 15.04.2025).

“…it is proposed to extend the martial law in Ukraine for 90 days from 05:30 on May 9, 2025,” the document says.

The draft law on the approval of the Decree “On the extension of the term of general mobilization” (registration number 13173 of 15.04.2025) submitted by the President states: “…the term of general mobilization is extended from May 9, 2025 for 90 days.”

This will be the 15th vote of the Ukrainian parliament to extend martial law and mobilization since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

The last time the parliament extended martial law and general mobilization was on January 15 this year. on February 5, the President signed two laws extending martial law and general mobilization until May 9.
