Joe Biden ‘s family has advised him to continue his election campaign. CNN writes about this, citing advisers to the American leader, reports "Komersant Ukrainian"
The US President, along with First Lady Jill Biden, son Hunter Biden and grandchildren, gathered at the Camp David residence for a previously scheduled meeting. In particular, they discussed the election campaign. According to the newspaper, Jill Biden begged the president to continue his re-election campaign. Also, one of the advisers said that other family members expressed their “unconditional support” to Joe Biden.
At the same time, the president’s family was clearly disappointed with the team that was preparing Biden for the debate with Donald Trump and discussed the option of firing one of the main advisers and changing the campaign’s staffing.
At the same time, as noted in the publication, Joe Biden is loyal to his close advisers and protects them and does not like to fire his assistants. As of Sunday, it did not seem that any major personnel changes were brewing, the publication writes.
As a reminder, the family meeting at the presidential residence took place at a time when Biden and his campaign faced a wave of calls to withdraw from the presidential race. Following Joe Biden’s unsuccessful performance in the debate with Donald Trump, the US Democratic Party has been discussing a possible replacement candidate for the presidential election. Polls show that 72% of Americans doubt Biden’s mental health for the presidency.
