What does “wanted” status mean in the Reserve: explanation by the Ministry of Defence

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has answered frequently asked questions about the mobile application for people liable for military service ‘Reserve’: how to correct incorrect data from the ‘Oberig’ register, what the ‘wanted’ status means and why some users cannot log in to the application, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

It should be noted that the updated law on mobilisation came into force on 18 May. All men aged 18-60 have 60 days – until 16 July inclusive – to update their accounts.

The Ministry of Defence launched the mobile application “Reserve” for persons liable for military service, conscripts and reservists on 18 May, after the updated law on mobilisation came into force.

Who needs to install Reserve?

The Reserve app is intended for persons liable for military service. Servicemen and women who are not registered with the military do not need to download the app and update their data. Nor do citizens under 18 or over 60. This creates an unnecessary load on the servers.

Do I need to go to the CCC after updating my data in the Reserve?

If you have updated your data in the Reserve application, you have fulfilled the relevant legal requirement. Further communication with the recruitment centres takes place as usual.

What should I do if my data from the Oberig register is incorrect?

If your Oberih data contains errors or is not up-to-date, please contact the recruiting centre where you are registered. Errors in the register of persons liable for military service are caused by the human factor when entering information by the TCC operators.

I am “wanted”, what should I do?

If you see the status “wanted” in the information from Oberec, the best solution is to contact the TCC where you are registered.

This status is assigned to those who have violated the rules of military registration.

What should servicemen with the status of “wanted” in the Reserve do?

Servicemen do NOT need to update their information. They are not registered in the military, so they cannot violate the rules of registration.

“If you still download the app and see the ‘wanted’ status, it means that the TCC did not have time to digitise your data. You or your immediate family members can contact the territorial centre and provide the necessary documents – passport, tax number, military ID and certificate of enlistment for military service,”

– the statement said.

The Ministry of Defence noted that this is due to human error.

“It is likely that the CCC did not update the data when you enlisted. However, the team of the Reserve application is establishing interaction with other registers so that all servicemen are excluded from the register. If you want to speed up the updating of your information, please contact the MCC and the JV, but this is not necessary,”

– the Ministry of Defence added.

Why can’t I log in to the Reserve app?

The Reserve app is the most popular way to update data. Ten times more citizens update their data online than in the TCC and ASC.

The application is currently in test mode. The development team hears your requests and promptly eliminates all errors.

If you are unable to log in in the first days of the app’s operation, please try again later. You can update your data until 16 July.
