The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and authorized the use of the domestically produced ground robotic system “Lyut” in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense with reference to the Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

The system is designed to perform a wide range of tasks in difficult conditions, including surveillance and fire support for Ukrainian units. It has been tested in real combat conditions, the Defense Ministry emphasized.

The robot is armed with a 7.62-caliber machine gun and additional equipment that allows it to detect and engage targets both day and night.

The “Rage” complex is quite compact – it fits into the body of a military pickup truck and is equipped with a silent electric motor. The battery capacity is sufficient for a long operating time. the “Rage” has a fairly high ground clearance, which allows it to move steadily on terrain with difficult terrain. In addition, the system operates in a wide range of temperatures.

As explained by the Ministry of Defense, the operator controls the complex from a protected position without being exposed to danger. The main task of ground robots is to reinforce units and replace soldiers in the most dangerous areas.

The Ministry of Defense reminded manufacturers of weapons and military equipment that information on the procedure for codifying new weapons and military equipment can be found here.
