The NABU and the SAPO have served a notice of suspicion to a Servant of the People MP over $20 million in assets of unknown origin. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the NABU and the SAPO.
According to Ukrayinska Pravda, the person in question is Iryna Allakhverdiieva (now Kormyshkina), a member of the Servant of the People party.
The investigation found that in 2021-2022, the MP seized assets that exceeded her official income and savings for this period by more than UAH 20 million.
At the same time, her official income for this period and savings amounted to no more than UAH 2.7 million, which the suspect used for other purposes.
She used the money to buy a house near Odesa, where she lives, through a legal entity.
The MP faces imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with disqualification to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.
The proceedings over the alleged illicit enrichment of Allakhverdieva were initiated in November 2022. In November 2022, the High Anti-Corruption Court ordered Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin to open criminal proceedings over the alleged illicit enrichment of Iryna Allakhverdieva.
As reported at the time, Allakhverdieva received UAH 14.4 million as a gift. Prior to that, she received another UAH 5.3 million and a DEFY MIDNIGHT Swiss watch for UAH 310,000, encrusted with 11 white diamonds. The donor was her father, but open data does not show that his official income allowed him to make such gifts.
As a reminder, in 2020, a video was circulated online in which the head of the Servant of the People party and the head of the faction, MPs Oleksandr Kornienko and David Arakhamia, discussed their colleague Iryna Allakhverdiieva, comparing her to a “ship’s pine”.
In 2023, Allakhverdieva married Yurii Kormyshkin, a member of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, and changed her surname. Kormyshkin is the owner of the PAEK agricultural holding.
