A judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court appealed to the High Council of Justice and the Prosecutor General and claimed interference in his activities. This was reported by the HACC press service, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The judge complained that the alleged interference is being carried out by law enforcement agencies through the covert and unauthorized collection of information about him and his family members. Such pressure, in the judge’s opinion, is an attempt to influence his independence and decisions in criminal proceedings that have caused a significant public outcry.
The statement also emphasizes that the pressure is being exerted not only through covert surveillance, but also through an information campaign that is being actively disseminated in the media and other resources to discredit the judge and his court decisions.
“The HACC judge emphasizes that pressure attempts are taking place against the backdrop of an active information campaign using various information resources aimed at discrediting him and his decisions in certain criminal proceedings,” the High Anti-Corruption Court said in a statement.
