In August, global sales of electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids increased by 15% compared to the same period last year and amounted to about 1.7 million units. However, this is the lowest growth rate since January.

China, which accounts for more than half of global electric vehicle sales, slowed to 6% growth (against 36% of the monthly average in the first half of the year).

At the same time, sales in Europe grew by 48% to ~283,453 units, in North America by 13% to 201255 units, and in the rest of the world by 56% to over 14,4280 units.
