TOP 15 youngest billionaires in the world: how they made their fortune
5 April 2024 09:46
In 2024, Forbes’ global ranking of dollar billionaires included 15 people under the age of 30, all of whom inherited their fortune. Forbes writes about this, Komersant ukrainskyi
reports.
This year, not only has the number of young billionaires in the Forbes global ranking remained unchanged, but also the composition of the participants has remained largely unchanged. However, a few people dropped out, including Wang Zelong, who inherited a stake in the Chinese chemical company CNNC Hua Yuan Titanium Dioxide Co. and Ryan Breslow, co-founder of the fintech startup Bolt, which has severely declined in value due to disputes with investors who accused the entrepreneur of embezzlement.
Instead, the list of young billionaires has been expanded to include six newcomers. They include 19-year-old Livia Voight, who inherited a stake in WEG, one of the world’s largest electric motor manufacturers, and brothers Zahan and Firoz Mistry, heirs to one of India’s richest men. All 15 young billionaires on the 2024 list received their wealth from older generations.
According to The Guardian, a study by Forbes magazine showed that the number of such rich people will increase dramatically in the near future, as the elderly super-rich prepare to pass on their wealth to their children.
In the first wave of major wealth transfers, more than a thousand wealthy people are expected to pass more than $5.2 trillion to their heirs.
