The Third Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has opened an “FPV Kill House” in Lviv to make high-quality training in flying FPV drones available to many people, from civilian beginners to professional pilots. This was reported by the Lviv City Council, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

The training is conducted by combat instructors, and 23 people have already started training.

“This is an initiative of the 3rd Assault Brigade. And such powerful training centers should be in every city, in every community. I think this school will be widely used, because everything here is of high quality, all conditions are as close to combat as possible,” said Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, who visited the school.

According to Oleh Romanov, commander of an anti-tank battalion of the 3rd Assault Brigade and initiator of the school, “2000 graduates have already been trained, 10-15% of them have joined the army.”

“We also had separate requests from representatives of the Security Service and the National Guard, whom we trained separately as our brothers-in-arms. Now we are developing a more extensive program, and it will be the training of an entire combat unit,” summarized Oleh Romanov.

According to the military, the idea to create such a school arose after they realized the high efficiency of FPV drones in combat conditions compared to other means of destruction. Drones are also beginning to be used in civilian life, for example, in the agricultural sector, firefighting, etc.

How the training takes place

The training consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. The program has five modules, which, in addition to piloting, teach how to choose the right components and assemble drones, conduct practical classes on soldering and software configuration of the drone, and explain the theory of using drones in combat.

There are daytime and evening courses, with the daytime course lasting 6 days and the evening course lasting 9 days. After completing the course, each participant receives a certificate of FPV drone operator.

The Lviv school is the fourth to open. Similar schools operate in Kyiv, Odesa, and Cherkasy. You can sign up for training and get more information on the social media pages of the 3rd separate assault brigade or on the school’s website.

Kyiv community donates a mobile FPV center to the school

As noted on the 3rd Assault Brigade’s Facebook page, this is not just a bus, but a real autonomous training center on wheels, which will become a powerful tool for increasing combat capability and scaling new technologies in the army.

Now the instructors of the Kill House school will be able to train and improve the skills of UAV operators anytime and anywhere.
