NABU explains why they buy boxing equipment and rent bar tables

As Kommersant Ukrainian wrote , according to the public procurement portal Prozorro, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau has announced several unexpected tender procedures since the beginning of the year. In particular, the NABU purchased boxing equipment and entered into a furniture lease agreement. We are talking about several dozen chairs, various cabinets, cabinets, a sofa, 16 bar tables, a bar counter, a sink, an extractor hood, an electric stove, an aluminum skirting board, and even a flag with fringes. We asked the NABU itself about why it needed wall-mounted boxing mats and bar stools.

In response to the request, the NABU explained that boxing equipment is needed for training detectives, and the rest of the furniture (rented) is used for catering.

“In accordance with the procurement “Services for the lease of movable property (code 99999999-9 of the national classifier of Ukraine DK 021:2015 “Unified Procurement Dictionary”)”, a lease agreement was concluded for kitchen equipment and furniture used in the rooms (premises) where hot meals are provided to the National Bureau employees. Other office furniture is used by officials and employees of the National Bureau in the course of their official duties.

Wall-mounted makiwari and boxing bags were purchased for the employees of the Special Operations Department to practice hand-to-hand combat skills provided for in the special physical training section of the professional training program approved by the order of the Director of the National Bureau,” the NABU said.

AsKommersant Ukrainian previously reported , the NABU is provided with property lease services – kitchen utensils and furniture – by the Aviation and Rocketry Engineering Company. In March of this year, the company changed its director. The company is actively involved in public procurement and mainly provides medical services, medical practices and sells parts for one of the disposable melee weapons.
