In the Verkhovna Rada, Zelenskyy explains why he proposes Svyrydenko for prime minister

During his speech in the Verkhovna Rada, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave reasons why he proposes to appoint Yulia Svyrydenko as Prime Minister. This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
According to MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, the president thanked Denys Shmyhal for his work, mentioned the “cashback” and “Zelensky’s thousand”, and outlined new tasks for the government.
In particular, Zelenskyy said that the new Cabinet should:
- audit all agreements with international partners in the field of defense and resilience programs;
- prepare for a new level of defense cooperation with partners;
- continue the course of digitalization of state processes;
- update diplomatic work with the United States in connection with future new agreements.
“I am putting Svyrydenko and the government on board to fully realize all this. Thank you all,” the President concluded his speech.

Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak was also present in the hall.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted a motion to the Verkhovna Rada to appoint Yulia Svyrydenko as Prime Minister of Ukraine.
