Ukrainian drones attacked an oil depot in Engels

An oil depot was attacked in Engels, Saratov region, on the night of December 7. This was reported by Russian propaganda media with reference to residents of the city, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

According to media reports, the strike by Ukrainian drones caused a fire at the facility. No injuries have been reported. Officials have not yet confirmed the damage to the oil depot.

The governor of the region, Roman Busargin, had earlier posted a warning on his telegram channel about the risk of a UAV attack. The Russian Ministry of Defense later said that 42 Ukrainian drones were shot down over the Saratov region during the night.

Rostov region also came under attack by drones. According to Governor Yuriy Slyusar, a drone damaged a power line pole in the Sholokhovsky district on the outskirts of Kolundayevsky village, leaving 250 local residents without electricity.

In total, according to the Russian Defense Ministry, overnight, air defense forces “intercepted and destroyed” 77 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones. According to the ministry, 42 were shot down over Saratov region, 12 over Rostov region, 10 over annexed Crimea, 9 over Volgograd region, two over Belgorod region, and one over Astrakhan region and Chechnya.
