The absolute world boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk has officially become one of the richest boxers on the planet. The British publication GiveMeSport has published a ranking of the richest boxers of all time, and the Ukrainian took the honorable fifth place, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

Usyk’s fortune is estimated at $214 million, which is $68 million more than his main rival in the ring, Tyson Fury.

It is noted that Oleksandr Usyk is estimated to have earned about $100 million for his second victory over Tyson Fury.

“Add to this the amounts earned for the first fight with Fury and two fights with Anthony Joshua, and it becomes clear why the Ukrainian champion is among the richest boxers of all time,” the article says.

What is even more impressive is that Usyk earned his $214 million fortune by fighting only eight heavyweight fights in his entire professional career.

The athlete is now 38 years old and probably has only a few fights left, but each time he enters the ring, he brings in huge money – as evidenced by the amount he received after knocking out Daniel Dubois in his previous fight.

At the top of the list is the legendary Floyd Mayweather, who has collected about $400 million in his career.

Next are Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and George Foreman – 300 million each, and Manny Pacquiao is the fourth with a fortune of 220 million.

The top 10 richest boxers in the world also included:

  • Oscar De La Hoya – $200 million,
  • Lennox Lewis – $120 million,
  • Sugar Ray Leonard – $120 million,
  • Jake Paul, who rounds out the top ten, earned $100 million.

Interestingly, even the scandalous blogger and boxer Jake Paul ($100 million) made it into the top 10, while the legendary Mike Tyson with $20 million and former champion Anthony Joshua ($80 million) remained off the list.

Thus, Usyk not only strengthened his sporting legacy by defeating Fury, but also became one of the wealthiest boxers of our time, overtaking such legends as Lennox Lewis and Sugar Ray Leonard.
