Dmytro Sherembey, a well-known activist and chairman of the Coordination Council of the CO “100% Life” – Life Support Network, said that employees of the Mukachevo TCC stopped and detained for several hours a truck with drugs that require special temperature conditions during transportation. He published the relevant post on Facebook, according to [Kommersant]
“Employees of the Mukachevo TCC stopped a truck with medicines and began checking the 23-year-old driver. The truck driver said that he was carrying medicines and an important detail – the cold chain must be maintained during transport so that the drugs do not spoil. If this had happened, hundreds of people could have been affected, which would have had irreparable consequences,”
– sherembey said in his post.
However, contrary to the law on mobilisation, employees of the Mukachevo TCC forced the 23-year-old driver to undergo a medical examination and handed him a summons to report to the military commissariat the next day.
“In 4 hours, under escort (!), the driver was forced to undergo a medical examination and handed a summons to report to the Mukachevo military commissariat the next day. That is, TODAY”,
– the activist describes.

Due to these unlawful actions, the medicines were not delivered to Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk on time. For more than 6 hours, they were in a truck without a driver, which jeopardised the preservation of the required temperature regime.
“When we are talking about patients with serious illnesses who are dependent on daily medication, such as cancer patients or patients on substitution maintenance therapy, the disruption of supplies is tantamount to a threat to life,”
– emphasises Sherembey.
According to him, such cases are not isolated and discredit the entire mobilisation process. The human rights activist stressed the need to urgently take measures to ensure the smooth operation of drivers with medical supplies, in particular, to provide them with armoured deferrals.
“It is necessary to provide the staff of pharmaceutical logistics campaigns with the opportunity to receive reservations from mobilisation,”
– the post reads.
Sherembey notes that human rights activists demand that the Ministry of Health respond to the illegal actions of the Mukachevo RCC and prevent the disruption of critical supplies of essential medicines in Ukraine.
The Mukachevo RCC and the JV have not yet commented on the activist’s statements.
